Let’s have some fun with this one…
What if we aren’t alone in the universe? The likelihood is we aren’t. I mean, it’s SO big.
But actually imagine with me that it’s early 2024. You’re scrolling through Apple News and there’s a breaking bit at the top saying that Joe Biden is addressing the nation at 9pm ET on Tuesday, February 6th.
He’ll start by talking about how a year ago, the US scrambled jets to track those unidentified things flying over Alaska and Lake Huron. He’ll acknowledge the Chinese spy balloon. Then he’ll wax poetic about how from the dawn of time we’ve wondered whether or not we’re alone in the universe. Maybe he’ll reference Roswell. Then he’ll cut to the chase. Share that the pentagon, along with the rest of our armed forces, have determined that there exist unidentified aerial phenomena that we don’t fully understand. He’ll reassure the public by saying that we have great leads on some of this. That we’re, “getting to the bottom of it.” But that, it is quite possible, these crafts are not of this earth.
Over the months and years to follow, more and more will be revealed. The history of these crafts, recovery and reverse engineering projects, and slowly, as consciousness does, we will all evolve to not see this as fantasy but a fact that is steadily growing in understanding through the controlled and strategic release of information.
Mysticism, over the decades of disclosure, will grow in appreciation. Because both science and religion won’t fully be able to explain what we’re experiencing. Science will explain the mechanical and possible ways of the craft. Religion will try and articulate the philosophical “why” or “how” of what all this is. But every person will be presented with some trans-lucid questioning of not being alone in the cosmos.
Some form of trans-rationalism will be needed to quantify what all this means. Some people will continue to get more earthy. See Gaia as the living reality She is. Become more deeply rooted to our place in the universe. Others will hunker down on defense and apocalypse kits, seeing the only way through as force.
The military industrial complex will try and push a narrative of the need to reverse engineer the crafts recovered so that we can protect ourselves (something that’s likely already been happening for decades). But they’ll gloss over that if we have to reverse engineer technology, the ones who had the tech in the first place could have likely wiped us out long ago if they wanted to.
Perhaps the consciousness that visits and observes wants to see what a civilization so divided on itself looks like. Having realized, in their own time through their own evolutionary struggle, that unitive consciousness is the way to carry forth to new possibility and terrain. Both literal and mystical. They are aware that combative consciousness only destroys. Both planet and self.
All this is speculative. But the question of how we chose to engage with what exists beyond the realm of our immediate context remains.
Is this threat? Is this wonder?
What are the boundaries and barriers that make up the land between?
How do I, drawn to curiosity, allow myself to expand? What are the parameters to that expansion?
